📢 Open Letter: A Call to Action – Let’s Fight Malnutrition Together

Dear Friends, Partners, and ChangeMakers,
Every morning, thousands of children in Nairobi’s informal settlements wake up hungry—not by choice, but because their families simply cannot afford a decent meal. These children go to school on empty stomachs, struggling to concentrate, fighting fatigue, and facing a future that looks bleak.
The Reality:
✓ 1.13 million children in Kenya are malnourished due to poverty.
✓ 200,000 of them live in Nairobi’s informal settlements of Kangemi, Kawangware, Mukuru, and Mathare.
✓ Many of them are stunted, underweight, and at risk of dropping out of school due to poor nutrition.
We Cannot Let This Continue.
At Team Tetea CBO, we are taking action through the Community Nutrition Initiative (CNI)—a program designed to combat child malnutrition by providing fortified porridge flour to school-going children aged 4-12. This initiative is directly aligned with Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 2: Zero Hunger, specifically Target 2.2, which aims to end all forms of malnutrition.

The Impact of One Kilogram of Flour
▶️ Provides 10 nutritious meals for a child.
▶️ Boosts cognitive development, helping children focus and learn.
▶️ Strengthens immunity, reducing illness and absenteeism.
▶️ Gives hope to a child who deserves a fair start in life.
But We Need Your Help.
We are currently at 18% of our target, and we cannot reach the finish line alone. For just KES 200 (≈$1.50), you can feed a child.
Here’s How You Can Make a Difference Today:
✅ Donate – Your contribution will go directly to purchasing and distributing fortified flour.
✅ Share – Amplify this message within your networks.
✅ Partner With Us – Let’s collaborate to create sustainable solutions.
💛 Be Part of the Solution. Click [Donate] to change a child’s life today.
Let’s not just talk about change—let’s make it happen. Together, we can fight malnutrition and build a generation of healthier, stronger, and more resilient children.
With gratitude,
